Group Abu Abdullah (GAA) is inviting applications from senior SAP Analytics and Data Warehouse experts for a long-term enterprise assignment in Doha, Qatar.

📌 Role Overview

  • Position: Senior SAP Consultant – BW/BI (Business Information Warehouse / Business Intelligence)

  • Duration: 24 Months (Extendable)

  • Location: Doha, Qatar

  • Industry Focus: Energy / Oil & Gas Sector Preferred

🎯 Role Objective

Manage and provide specialist support for the SAP Analytics workstream in the SAP S/4HANA Transformation Program (including SAP BW on HANA, BW/4HANA, Business Planning & Simulations, Embedded BPC on BW, SAP Business Data Cloud, Datasphere, SAC, Databricks, BCS/4HANA, BODS, and SAP BO). Define, document, and execute the remodeling and enhancement of analytics solutions, guiding the System Integrator team with key architectural design decisions.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

  • Architecture & Solution Design: Validate, develop, and support the Analytics solution architecture aligned with industry best practices. Translate complex business requirements into robust SAP functionality.

  • Platform Migration: Analyze and manage the migration of analytical platforms to the latest architecture (e.g., BW on HANA to BW/4HANA/Datasphere) using appropriate tools and re-development techniques while ensuring business continuity.

  • Consultation & Advisory: Provide BI reporting and analytics consultation to business stakeholders to improve decision-making and business processes.

  • Project Execution & Governance: Plan, execute, and manage project status, risks, and gaps using modern SAP methodologies (SAP ACTIVATE / Agile). Establish reporting controls to restrict data access strictly to authorized users.

  • Data Integration & Modeling: Drive end-to-end data modeling, ETL development/enhancements with SAP and non-SAP systems using SDI, BODS, and OSI Soft connectors. Oversee integration with tools like Microsoft Power BI.

  • Vendor & Escalation Management: Resolve product issues directly with SAP AG. Lead testing, go-live, and post-implementation support phases.

🎓 Educational Qualification & Certifications

  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Petroleum, Management, IT, Finance, ACCA, CA, or equivalent.

  • Certifications: Professional certifications in BW/4HANA, BDC, BPC, BCS, or SAC are a strong advantage.

💼 Professional Experience & Technical Requirements

  • Total Experience: 9+ years of professional working experience.

  • Hands-On Expertise: Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in SAP BW/4HANA or Cloud implementation, CDS views, HANA Data modeling, HANA Studio, BW modeling, and ETL development/enhancements.

  • Lifecycle & Migration Experience: At least 1 full lifecycle implementation on BW/4HANA, BDC, Datasphere, or SAC, including 1 end-to-end migration (BW on HANA to BW/4HANA/BDC).

  • Technical Skills: Experience with extractor development, data marts, authorization controls, and SAC / SAP BO Console Management System Security. Knowledge of Databricks is an added advantage.

  • Domain & Soft Skills: Oil & Gas sector experience preferred. Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, and fluent written and spoken English.
