📌 Role Overview

Position: Senior SAP Consultant – Project Systems (PS)

Duration: 24 Months

Location: Doha, Qatar

Classification: SAP S/4HANA Transformation Program

🎯 Role Objective

Provide specialist support to the Project Systems (PS) workstream in the SAP S/4HANA Transformation Program. You will support the implementation of PS migration and consolidation activities, guide the System Integrator team with key design decisions, and collaborate with Business Process Owners to ensure successful transition to S/4HANA.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

Design & Migration: Deliver key design decisions and ensure timely migration activities (planning, design, testing, and deployment) as per the project plan.

Process Improvement: Identify, engage, and advise the business on process improvements, new functions, and solutions to business challenges.

Landscape Consolidation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, business units, external consultants) to consolidate multiple SAP landscapes and interfaces into a unified S/4HANA system.

Module Integration: Maintain integration of business processes within PS and across modules like MM, FI/CO, etc., while working closely with Technical Teams on Security, Roles, and Authorizations.

Testing & Quality: Lead testing activities, ensuring multiple rounds of testing for all BPML processes deliver expected results without critical errors.

Data Migration: Drive data migration strategy for PS-related data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Solution Design: Oversee fit-gap analysis, blueprinting, and solution design for PS modules.

Risk & Governance: Monitor project risks, support governance frameworks for Project Governance, Scope Management, and Cost Control, and escalate issues to leadership as necessary.

Vendor & Product Management: Escalate and resolve SAP product issues through active liaising with SAP AG.

Change Management: Drive change management, training, and stakeholder engagement for PS business processes.

🎓 Educational Qualification & Certifications

Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Petroleum, Management, or equivalent.

Certifications: Professional certifications (e.g., SAP PS, SAP FICO, etc.) are a strong plus.

💼 Professional Experience & Skills

Experience: 7+ years of total professional experience, with a minimum of 4 years hands-on SAP implementation/support experience across at least two full life cycle implementation projects in SAP PS (covering Business Process Design, Configuration, Gap Analysis, Development, Testing, and Training).

Core Expertise: Deep understanding of Project Systems business processes: project structuring, WBS, networks, milestones, cost planning, and settlement processes.

Integration Knowledge: Strong knowledge of PS integration touchpoints with Logistics & Accounting modules, and establishing interfaces with external systems.

Methodologies: Exposure to Agile or hybrid project management methodologies is an advantage.

Soft Skills: Self-starter, excellent communicator, mature judgment, and strong stakeholder management abilities.
